The FridgeTag is not only checking temperature, but also recording when the user took action on the alarm. The user needs to ‘confirm’ that they saw the alarm (by pressing READ multiple times to browse through all the days)
If the temperature falls above or below the configured temperature limits, someone checks the device and confirms the alarm. This is the second sms on the screen. The sms “UPPER ALARM=ALARM CONFIRMED” means basically that 1) temperature is good again and 2) someone has seen the alarm (and acted upon it).
