For those customers that use a Wireless real-time Monitoring System, it may happen that the real-time data stream gets interrupted. SmartView will detect such a situation and send an E-Mail notifications. SmartView determines that a Network is offline when no data was received for more than one hour.
This may happen for one of the following reasons, depending on your setup:
SmartGate
- The SmartGate reader device has been unplugged or there has been a power outage. The SmartGate will continue on its back-up battery for 72 hours. The Network will go offline when the back-up battery has been depleted.
- The SmartGate reader device does not have the possibility to communicate through a mobile network, this may happen because:
-
- the mobile network is (temporarily) unavailable (either the local telecom network, or the Dutch telecom provider that provides the global SIM card)
- the SmartGate is out of range
-
What can you do?
The first thing that needs to be checked, is the status of the LEDs on the SmartGate. The SmartGate is equipped with three LEDs. We indicate the LEDs with numbers 1 to 3 based on the SmartGate orientated with its antennas on the upside: the first LED indicates the power source, the second LED provides feedback on the Wireless Temperature Monitoring Network status and the third LED indicates the 3G/GPRS status. Ideally, all LEDs on the device should be GREEN.
If any of the LEDs are of a different color or blinking atypically, please contact the Support Team at support@berlinger.com.
If the network will get back ONLINE, SmartView will again trigger an alert and send a notification per E-Mail.
