When you are setting an Event Profile note that the operation is < (Less than) or > (greater than), there is no equal, this means that in order to trip the ALARM the condition MUST be the set time +.
Example: you want to get an ALARM when the temperature is above +8°C for 15min. If the ALARM condition is last 15min there will be NO Alarm. The Alarm will be tripped at the 16th minute.
The correct setting would be +8°C for 14min then the ALARM will be tripped at the 15th min.
Let us check the 2nd must common reason an ALARM is NOT given:
The following Even Profile is set: temp. < 2°C 30min
Obviously, the condition is fulfilled there will be no ALARM. The system only knows what it reads in this case point 1 is at 2.06°C (all good)
Point 2 is at 1.56°C (the ALARM counting starts)
Point 3 is at 0.81°C (Still ALARM) now for the system this means 15 min ALARM, the time between point 1 and 2 is ignored
Point 4 is at 2.50°C (all good)
So SmartView only saw an ALARM time of 15min (log interval) so an ALARM set for 30 min would NOT have been seen by the system and there for no ALARM would have been sent.
